Block water line from mains to washing machine

Hi there


I may have to take my washing machine into town for service.


Washing machine Whirlpool awo/d 4405.


After turning off the mains and disconnecting the water line from the back of the washing machine. What type of blank plug should I use on this water line?

I believe their called isolation valves?

Not at the house atm. However, the housemate didn't see any water valve from the mains water to the washing machine. We haven't pulled out the kitchen worktop.

why not get someone to call, if u are overzealous with moving it and don't secure the drum you may wreck it: there should be a valve like the blue one in images below, it may not shut off 100% so have a bucket to catch drip

Thank you for that. Most plumbing shop should stock these isolated valves?

Thanks for the tip. Will pack behind the drum with blankets if machine needs to be moved. Or I can try to purchase some shipping bolts.

We have the tub and ball unit to install to the drain pump. If the machine works on the drain cycle, all is good. Initial problem was that the drain cycle wasn't working. Had to buy a new pump.

If you're lucky, the transit bolts are still with the machine or you can find some.
