I heard great reports about this festival last year, which came up from the ashes of Dream Gathering or so I heard, but thinking of heading to this one as a lot of my Galway mates are going and I loved the photos of the event last year, I don't know about the line up really but the general event looks like great craic. There is some great Irish reggae acts, Damien Dempsey and various other things too.

I really like the lineup. Good irish reggae, de staic playing, good electronica too.

I live nearby and all but won't be going, wish I knew about it earlier in the year.

    Not great advertising

Weather not looking great for this, bring rain wear and wellies or good walking boots, its bucketing down here in Galway at the moment, so 5,000 pairs of feet are going to make a bit of a mess of the ground.

Well Townlands was a gas, loosely based on the Boomtown Fair concept, its like a fake town centre with the main stage, you have the wooden building fronts with tents inside of them, it really becomes alive at night with projections projected onto the buildings, a lot of creative madness. The weather wasn't nice to Townlands with only a quarter of the expected capacity showing up, heavy drizzle and downpours made the site quite mucky in parts, but the line up and visuals and happy vibes of the West Cork hippie freaks made up for this. Will post a blog report and some photos afterwards.
