    Does anyone know where I can get a ceramic disk cartridge for a kitchen mixer tap in south Dublin?

    Does anyone know where I can get a ceramic disk cartridge for a kitchen mixer tap in south Dublin?

    Most plumbing suppliers will have them, the problem is finding the exact match.
    While the they can look the same, spindle stems can vary in length and diameter, which means the new valve may screw into the tap body, but the handles don't fit, or vice versa. Bring the old ones with you to compare.
    Often its quicker to just buy a new tap.

    Just got a replacement tap as I want to fit it at lunchtime.

    Been told by a couple of plumbing suppliers that they don't stock them because they're not standard sizes.

    Smallman was mentioned as a place that has a few in stock, which may be of use to others.
