Hi All, sorry if this is the 50th thread on the same issue.

Basically my anxiety has gone from only 2 scenario's to many.

    1. on a Plane, fainted 3 times because of it(no drink involved).

    2. for the past few years I couldnt get into a car after a nights drinking sometimes the other half would have to drive etc, came to a head last year when I thought i was ok and decided to drive and i fainted at the wheel, thankfully she grabbed the wheel and saved our lives, went hospital (no injuries) but got everything checked.. tried explaining that it was anxiety but they weren't buying it.

recently it happened again 2 weeks ago ( fainted again in the car after drinking) i know the common denominator is alcohol which I have since given up.

but - this is now happening in new scenarios, meetings, buses, busy places...

im a confident 26 year old, great relationship, center of attention always the go to guy, g. but something has now caused a trigger, I went to a concert last night and couldnt enjoy it because i was thinking of the quickest route home without making a show of myself, or looking around the arena where i could faint in case it happened.

the scenario basically goes like butterflies in stomach up to my neck ( could faint) and diarrhea. if i go to the doctor how can pills make me stop thinking this, I feel like im trying to convince myself but it only works in some case and really hard to get over.

Maybe anxiety isn't the problem, it's alcohol. Seriously dude if you are so bad you nearly killed yourself and your girlfriend and who knows who else you need help.

Nope not drink driving, I was out the night before, nothing major then got in the car just after midday (as i felt fine), so drink would have been out of the system. but doesnt matter if i had 2 drinks or 10 the next day the fear of getting into a car (or any mode of transport) makes it happen.

i haven't drank in a month and the past few weeks its been getting worse regardless, bus trips, concerts, airplanes, cars etc.. stuff that never ever effected me before are starting to F me up

Well, have you tried visiting a shrink ? Usually they can dig up the real cause of the problem. Like, you having unrealistic expectations from yourself, being always the soul of the crew and never in embarrassing situations. You just have to work through that stuff.
Just in case, this is not a medical advice. Simply my opinion.
