    Hi All
    Looking for a little help
Summer tidy up decided to clean out the baffles and replace the nozzle in the very old 1998 grant boiler
    Cut a long story short

Half asleep thought I was opening the bleed screw
    but
I unscrewed the pump pressure regulator screw
Item no 3 slotted head screw in this manual
    http://rielloburners.co.uk/lumo/upload_documents/riello_r40g3bf490t53g5bf492t57489t53manual29021366.pdf

I then realised this was the wrong screw put it back in but not sure how far in it was

I do not have a pressure gauge
Can someone tell me if turning it left or right increases pressure

I have not tried to start it yet
I was kind of hoping I could try start off low and increase slowly till it fires up
    Any help much appreciated

Sorry there is absolutely nothing you can do without a pressure gauge and flue gas analyser. It's not a guessing game. Guessing will most likely lead to incorrect combustion and high levels of carbon monoxide being produced.

The smallest of turns can make big changes to the oil pressure / combustion / poor performance etc., just because it fires, doesn't mean its operating correctly.
As DTP says, guessing will get you nowhere, it's time to get someone with gauges and a F.G.A.
