Van gone slowish, noisy & uneconomical

I have a 1.3 Opel Combo 2009. Recently I've noticed it's not as fast as it was. Also the engine sounds louder the faster I go. It's not as economical as it was. I used to get 500 miles to a tank but I'm getting about 400 miles the last few fills.

Any idea what the problem(s) might be? I don't have time to go a mechanic at the minute as I'm working an hour away and need the van, but is there anything that can be done in the meantime?

    Thanks

Any warning lights on the dash?
Is it not going above certain revs?

Serviced on time. Well, oil & filter anyways. It was last done in March.
I had it in to the mechanic last Sept for a once over, he said all was fine.

No lights on dash. Revs are fine. But the faster I go the louder it gets.

These suffer from stretched timing chains quite a bit.
