Have BOI ceased the practise of informing customers when bank charges are to be appli

I have had bank charges withdrawn from my BOI account without prior notice by post. This is not the first time. The last time charges were applied, I was not informed then either. Has the BOI ceased this practise? Because the last time I checked you were required by law, to give me sufficient notice in writing and by post, informing me when these charges would be applied.

It is highly unlikely that any correspondence from BOI would get lost in the post. It has not happened once in the 17 years I have been banking with BOI.

    Good Afternoon HandoLogan,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie customers who incur current account transaction fees greater than €12.70 per quarter, will automatically receive a fee notification at least 10 working days prior to 'charge out'.

Customers who incur fees less than €12.70 per quarter will not automatically receive a Fee Pre-Notification statement.  However, they will receive a Fee Statement with their next account statement.0.

This may be the reason you didn't receive this notification, please let us know if we can help with anything else.

    Thanks,
    Evie
