    Hi

New to farming although been helping out on a farm on weekends for over a decade.

Just looking to find out about online agricultural courses.

I've been reading info the teagasc website: and the green cert gives one the qualification of a "trained farmer" and also covers stamp duty relief.

It also says on the teagasc site that to be eligible for some schemes - agricultural education is required but is doesn't specify to what level are there any courses fully competable online?

    Hi Briaineo,

I'm doing the distance learning Green Cert through Teagasc in Roscommon.

    Follow this link: http://www.teagasc.ie/training/courses/dist_ed_green_cert.asp

Call Teagasc in Mountbellow they will have openings for the distance learning Green Certt either this year or next.

After completing the Distance Learning Green Cert, you will have level 5 and part of level 6 (Administration)
