Swords to town

    Hi folks,

Sorry if this seems a bit repetitive but the previous posts on this topic are quite old-looking to move to swords possibly, I work a little further out north county and himself works in the city centre. Is the swords express genuinely reliable for commuting into town every day or are there other areas around to live which have an easier transport system? We're hoping to spend 1200-1300 per month absolute max so I figured swords is a bit better value and a nice place!

    Really appreciate any insights.

    Thanks

I get the Swords Express to and from the city centre every day, it's very good. I find it a lot better than the express Dublin Bus service (41x).

Thanks for that Singer, would the bus be on time usually? Are there many issues getting a seat in the mornings? (sorry for bombarding you with questions!!)

It's very reliable, though I usually get on and off at a terminus. I've heard of occasional full buses etc. but they usually have plenty of capacity on at peak times. In my experience the main cause of delays is getting stuck on the quays when there's something on at the 3 Arena in the evenings.

Bonus, you can get the swords express on the tax saver yearly ticket

hi guys, just a quick one here
how long does it usually take in the morning on swords express?
say if you need to be in trinity at half 8, when would you need to get on the swords express?

also how long does it take in the evenings from 17-18 to get back to swords?

    thanks

41x is very reliable and I find it great in the morning. In in about 45-50'mins generally on the 7.45am one. Also cheaper than the SE and over the course of a year that makes a diff. SE is defo comfier though, no doubt about that

Depends where you board it tbh, it takes as long for me to get from Swords Manor to Airside as it does from Airside to the end. If you have the option to board at Airside it takes 15-20mins tops.
