    Hi,

I'm new to Kerry, new to Boards but looking for a Saab mechanic in Kerry it at all possible. Through googling I found a dealer in Cork but haven't found any in Kerry so far. I have an injector issue which needs to be fixed. Due to the issue I can't drive far safely and so looking to find someone close enough so that I can drive to.

Any help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks,

As far as I'm aware, there are no Saab dealers here. Is it anything a non Saab mechanic can look at?

Thanks hearmehearye, I brought it to a mechanic today in Killorglin and he said I should go to a Saab mechanic. My gut feeling is that its not specialised- one of the injectors is faulty and leaking fuel. I guess reconditioning it will fix the problem along with maybe adding a washer for the leak- but Im not sure. I would be more than happy to go a general mechanic if they felt they could fix it. Just don't know place to try down here

Maybe chance ringing the crowd in Cork to see if they could recommend someone closer to you? There's always a guy who knows a guy!

What year is the car and it's a diesel I presume?

Yes hearmehearye i might give Cork a ring on Monday/Tuesday when they are open and see.
Yep that's right its diesel, 1.9 Sport vector, 2008- car drives but visible fuel leak and you can see its limping a bit without one of the injectors.

That's an Opel engine in that, any good indepentant garage will sort that. That garage you went to was clueless and just wanted to wash their hands of it. Going to a main dealer is madness.

Cheers yes I totally agree, injectors are in all modern cars and so I thought the same. I am reluctant to get towed to Cork for such a simple job. Might try the other garage in Killorglin and then try Killarney/Tralee next. Seems like people don't want money-its not like one of those electrics intermittent issues I am asking them to have a look at, its fairly straightforward. Thanks for your input too.

It's actually a Fiat engine but there maybe some minor differences between the different brands it's used by. Doesn't mean common issues across the range cannot be fixed though.
