I would if the leave side had even a remote chance of winning

    They don't, though

edit: I was wrong. Very wrong.

You'll be staying up pretty late then, you'll only get the turnout polls by 3AM. The first results won't be out until 4AM, and the final ones not until 7AM. The earliest results will be inclined towards Remain, as they'll be London, Wales and Scotland, which are generally pro-EU.

So really, unless you're pulling an all-nighter, you won't be much the wiser.

Edit: Mind you, although I think it will be a Remain vote in the end, there's no real calling it already. The last polls and the sum of the last few polls have been steadily fairly even, with Remain only being a bit ahead. It's within the margin of error (very much so), and the Undecideds are the unknown factor and could swing it either way.

In favor of remaining - 1/8

In favor of leaving - 5/1

If you think there's any chance of the leave side winning, get your money down now.

    Not a hope of it!

Yeah, Ladbrokes is pretty similar - 1/6 remain, 4/1 Leave.

    I'm not allowed up last 10 :(

But seriously, I've no interest in it at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,921 ✭✭✭✭hdowney

Kinda. Imma go to bed but a) leave the sound on my phone for a change and b)I don't sleep well so will be constantly checking my phone.

Until the dead horse is flogged I'm gonna say it's still possible - unlikely but possible- for the leave to clinch it

I think the ayes have it. I would say 54 to 46% in favour of remain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 106 ✭✭35cent

Nah, I have work tomorrow. I'll find out the result when I wake up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 167 ✭✭Blue Whale

This seems never to have been likely to actually happen. I'm predicting 63 for remain and 37% leave

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,781 ✭✭✭dasdog

YouGov Poll: 52% to Remain, 48% Leave...

I'm watching the fx markets, fairly muted so far but pointing at remain.

Nah it won't be that decisive I don't think.

    56-44 I'd say

It'll be a bigger margin than the Scottish independence ref anyway I'd say

£ has had a good few days now so it's mostly made it's move already. Markets have been saying Remain for the last few days.

    54-46 to remain.

If i didn't have work in the morning would probably stay up till about 1 or 2. But as I do have work, 10.30pm, and am already calling it a night. Will probably listen to the LBC (london radio station) till about midnight or so.

It's been on the rise since the announcement of the murder of Jo Cox MP, pretty much to the hour. That was seen as very damaging to leave, an association with extremism/lunatics.

Gold and Yen safe havens are being cautiously sold off.

Who are the 823 ejits in Gibraltar who voted to leave, in what way could it have been better for Gibraltar to leave!

I've heard if they leave its good news for duty free, happy days. The booze cruises from Rosslare should be reinstated ASAP.

Rather short sighted i would say. Once they leave there will be customs and tariffs on goods from the UK making them more expensive. What about all the UK chain stores here?

    Gibralter officially votes to remain.

    Sunderland looking like 62% leave.

If it's going to be so close, in some areas there could possibly be recounts and legal challenges all over the place? Could go on forever like our referendums.:)

my comment was slightly tongue in cheek :pac:

Buy yeah a potential disaster for trading between us and the U.K. if tariffs have to be reset / renegotiated.

I wish I could stay up late but I need to go to bed. I reckon it's going to be 52% stay, 48% leave.

Looking forward to the news tomorrow whatever way it goes.
