Hi All I've just got involved with a company and i have offered all my services for free on an ongoing basis in return for a share of the company. Im new to this as i usually just send an invoice for my work so legally I'm not sure where i stand or who i should talk to. Im considering asking for a 1%?
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

1% of Facebook or Google would have been worth something. 1% of most companies is pretty much worthless.

How do you value you time? €1,500 per week?

Thanks Locked out basically my input is creating animations and videos for this company so if they make 100000 i get a 1000 which yes looks pretty bad but if they make 1000000 i get 10000 but thats not likely for at least a few years. I'll probably ask for 10% then i know he'll say no way and go backwards but probably best to go high first. My question is will i get 10% of the profits or how does it work, should i look for shares im good at what i do, but when it comes to this stuff i have no clue so sorry for my ignorance

    Hi

The first rule of business is always thus.

You make your money today, and not on what you think is going to happen in the future. Otherwise at best you may end up working for free, at worst you may loose a whole truck load of money and also waste your time.

Some of the most onerous assignments stem from making this simple mistake.

You do €1500 of work you get paid €1500 today.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Regards

    Dbran
