Nexus 5X 16GB is €259 in Argos

Bought one of these to replaces the other halves Nexus 5.

Hard to find it cheaper on the net and in my experience Argos are excellent on warranty and giving refunds.

The OP, that's me, walked into Argos in Santry two hours ago and bought the Nexus 5X 16GB for €259.

Argos have the phone on offer in their "The Big Sale" which started yesterday 22 June. Maybe the Argos website has not been updated to reflect the price drop. The new price is shown in one of Argo' small magazines they use when they have a sale on.

Was it defo the 16gb? They only ever had the 32gb as far as I was aware

There is a 16GB Model 5X available.

That's true. I didn't see the OPs response with more info. I'd always buy in store.

I know there is 16gb version but I only ever saw 32gb on Argos , they don't usually add version this late in a products life cycle

For risk of repeating myself it is a 16 GB black Google Nexus 5X.

Only 10.79 GB of free space available when turning the phone on for the first time.

€210 if you can claim VAT back... Just a thought if you're thinking of buying outside the EU.

The 32gb never mentions memory card, of course, neither can take memory card.

The Argos descriptions always look a bit generic, I never trust them.

I do like to use my wireless charger.. Having said that, USB C and fingerprint unlocking, hmm..

The phone is unlocked and sold as sim free.

It might be worth hanging on a bit longer as the price will possibly drop a bit more when the new Nexus phones are launched later this year.

Xe have £219 as €269, so even including the increase in VAT would be at most €280. So pay in sterling!

Even if it is €289, €30 for an extra 16gb on a phone with no SD card is well worth it.

Got one yesterday in Argos in Ashbourne for €259. Great value phone and less concern about returns/refunds as it's Argos. Seemed to be the only one left tho in the whole of the east. Maybe they'll get more in.

Got one of these last month off Amazon (32gb) and have to say it is the best phone I've ever had.

Camera is excellent, and as it is stock Android you will be first in line for updates etc.

But when I fill in the details, the reservation email has no reservation number or details....anyone got any idea?
