    Hi,
    Any thoughts on this?

Mains fed shower broken in bathroom. Was always weak flow. Want to replace it with gravity fed pump shower. Dont want to re-tile bathroom.

Could I drill through the exterior wall and drop a feed from the tank in the attic down outside the house - insulate it to the hilt - and cover it with some type of flashing?

Would probably need to to do same with 10 square wire. Was thinking the Triton SR - "silent pump"? Any experience of this too?

    Thanks a mil!

I have fitted seven of these this week and they look like a great shower. I have one in my own house. Quietest pumped shower on the market. Only shower with a digital motor. Having said that I sang Mira elite Qt praises when it was launched and that turned out to be a disaster. I couldn't fully vouch for this until it's been on the market for a few months.

Its possible that your mains supply to the shower comes from the attic. If this is the case its easy to swap to tank fed.

Another option would be to drop the cable and pipe surface in the bathroom in trunking. This can be chased into the wall at a later stage when you are ready to retile.

Running the pipe outside the house is risky. If the water freezes inside the pipe it can increase the pressure in the shower as high as 30 bar. This is why you always have an ugly sticker on the new shower saying do not connect to mains or where its likely to freeze. It voids the warranty

You shouldn't have to re tile the Bathroom, just replace a few Tiles vertically down from the Ceiling.
Alternatively I'd take the good advice from Sleeper and do as he suggested and bury everything later.
Remember the Shower has to be on an dedicated RCBO.

Thanks a mil lads. Feed not from attic but think I will try remove the 3 tiles to the ceiling and abandon the through the wall plan. No spares. Wish me luck! Will ask around about the Triton SR. Thanks again

Exactly what type (make / model) shower have you got at the moment?
