Rechecks - dyslexia

I have three exam repeats for my first year. When I applied through the CAO I ticked the dyslexia box and informed admissions at UL. I assumed my course of study would automatically be informed. I know that is how some other third level institutions work. Apparently not at UL and I was supposed to do this separately to get any concessions. I was told nothing could be done till next semester.

Does anyone know is it worth asking for a recheck and putting this information on the recheck form. How successful are people get a pass on their rechecks? Are 3 exam resits a lot? If I fail one them I'm out!
