    HI Everyone,

I'm looking for a store that does male Bra Fittings, I've emailed one or two but they say contact the store directly, M&S were shocked by the phone call, does anyone have any advice at all??

Is it for gynomastia reasons? If so I'm sure your doctor can put you in touch with someone.

If it isn't, tbh I wouldn't bother with getting measured. It's not like you need such accurate fitting as to hold up breasts and save back pain etc which is why it's important for women. If you want to find out your size there's guides online for measuring yourself. All you'd need if you don't have breasts to speak of is your back measurement, taken at the point the strap will sit (ie under the breast tissue).

If you're transsexual, and have physical breasts I know I've gone places that don't have any issue. Both M&S and Debenhams have done bra fittings for me, and didn't have any issue (although the person in Debenhams did say she'd do it over another person as they were new and she didn't think she would be right for it.) If you don't have breasts, then I thin B&C is pretty much right, you don't need a bra fitting and just going on your chest measurement is fine. And I would seriously question why someone who doesn't have physical breasts would want a bra fitting.

Ultimately, I think so many places are terrible at bra fittings, and there's so much confusion that bra fittings aren't really effective, especially for trans people who in some cases have larger chests with smaller breasts. For both trans and non-trans women getting an armload of bras and trying them on is much better than trusting someone who may have very little training or understanding of why a person would need one bra over the other.

There's such a thing as trying too hard op. Male bra fittings sounds a bit bizarre for obvious reasons.

Pretty rude response - the OP may have several reasons to be asking, including potential transition. I think 'advice' was the key operator.
