    Hey lads,

    I managed to scrape the passenger side of my 04 Ford Focus and cracked the rear bumper parking in work today. :( I was advised to look for the rear bumper myself by some work colleagues but I was wondering how much should I be expecting to be paying for the work and repair if I get my hands on a bumper to provide to a mechanic? Some photos of the damaged bumper below, I am assuming this will need to be replaced;

    It's not the bumper that will be the major expense, it's painting it. You could try a few breakers and see if you're lucky enough to get one in the same colour which could save you some money.

    There also appears to be damage to the wheel arch. I can't see if the wheel arch is a stand alone panel or if it's part of the quarter panel. If it's part of the quarter panel, then the whole panel will need to be painted for it to look right.

    I couldn't see you having much change out of €500 and that wouldn't include the bumper.

    This is what I'd do for a 2004 car:
    Clean it off using plenty WD40 and a rag - the transfer paint makes it look worse than it might be.
    Look behind the bumper, it's possible you can reconnect it again.

    But that's just me.

    The wheel arch is part of the quarter panel. I was expecting something like that price. :( But thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

    I'll have a good look at it tomorrow and see if it's possible but I don't think it will be, it got a good tug against a bollard. Thanks though for the info on the WD40.
