Hi thinking of getting a 1.6 peteol golf. Only interested in the 1.6 petrol golf no other cars or models! Just wondering what's it like on power? Would get the FSI model if I found one for around the same price. Are they good on petrol? Coming from a 64bhp. Thanks

Mk5 Golf 1.6 Fsi is a great car. My parent's have one and the only issue ever was the abs pump failed after 4 years. Was fixed with no labour charge.

Nice to drive, enough power to get by with and very well specced. Decent fuel economy too.

Not bad relatively. It's 10+ years old in fairness.
