    Hi everyone.

We are currently in the very early stages of planning a trip to Asia, oz and NZ. We are wondering would it be a better option to get a round the world ticket or book flights as we go?

    Thanks,

    Keith

Round the world. Talk to somewhere like Trailfinders for deals.

Also depending on the travel agent / flights, a round the world ticket does not have to start and return to the same airport. A few years ago I purchased a round the world ticket and used its to from London to Buenos Aires, Santiago to Auckland and Auckland to Sydney.....then I had to suck it up and buy another ticket back from Australia, but it worked out better value at the time for the trip I wanted (and flexibility with times)

There are LOADS of options....as above, someone like Trailfinders will point you in the right direction.

Get a round the world ticket from usit or trail finders. They will link up with an airline alliance (eg oneworld with BA, qantas, American rtc)." And you buy c miles with them.

The beauty of one of these tickets is that the dates / routes are fairly flexible. You build a shell and book and change as required (eg extend stay / change route as you travel).
