    Hi all,
I'm currently a new employee in a department store. I noticed a girl on Friday going around the perfume area.
I was tidying up the area at the time.
Next thing the alarm at the door starts beeping and she's gone. I was looking for a few minutes and only after a while noticed there was a tester bottle of perfume missing. We tag those in work so thats why it beeped going out the door.
I told security but heard nothing since.
Is there even anything they can do?
Anyone who has worked in retail security might know. Just curious about it but don't want to ask the security guys.
    Thanks!

They can look at CCTV and keep an eye out for her. They can report it to AGS as they might know the person. A prosecution might be difficult unless CCTV is very clear even then very difficult.

Realistically no even if it's on CCTV, most security companies won't unless the person is caught red handed.

I suppose it would be pretty difficult after the fact. I was talking to one of them this morning and they think she came out of one of the beuty salons in the same building.
So they might be able to get a name or number from them but the security guy wasn't sure if they were allowed to do that.

You didn't see her take it neither did anyone else apparently.
I'd leave well alone for what it's worth
