I'm wondering can anyone help me out regarding the installation of a new gas central heating system in a 4 bed semi with conservatory and ensuite- it currently has storage heaters and I'm thinking of making an offer on the property but I would definitely need to change the heating system- would be looking for dual control heating and 8 large radiators and 3 small ones- I have seen prices from 8/9 yrs ago on here but nothing recent- any info would be greatly appreciated.

At lot depend on boiler choice and ease of pipe runs.
For budget allow €6000-€7000 for installation
You could be eligible for a grant from the seai

Thanks for the info , that price is what I was thinking/hoping for , partition walls not concrete and floor boards up stairs so that should help with the pipe installation and the house was built before 2006 so I should be eligible for the 700 euro grant towards the cost of the boiler. Not sure if I'm eligible for the grant of 600 for updating heating controls but I'll apply anyway, as far as I know you have to select a contractor registered with them to get any grant paid back once the job is complete. I'm in cork so hopefully I won't have to much trouble finding a decent guy to do the work.

You don't get 2 grants. You get 750 if you upgrade controls and boiler together. Nothing for boiler only. But for controls only you get 600 I think.
