YouTube is showing ads every few minutes which is just unbearable. Adblock plus just doesn't seem to block anything on any device these days. So I installed exposed and YouTube adaway but it's made no difference. The API is installed but there's no icon for YouTube adaway so I can't configure it.

Am I missing something or is there another way of getting rid of these ads?

did you enable the module in xposed. I have it and confirm it works.

Yep, enabled in xposed but can't find any config options.
Actually although the little yellow dots are still there on the timeline I haven't actually seen an ad yet.
Is that how it should be?

YouTube is mental these days with advertisments. I'll have to spend sbit of time getting my OnePlus 3 rooted to get these ads off.

Shouldn't see any yellow dots. Are you sure there isn't an update available for it in xposed? Each time YouTube updates its app there is a new version of YouTube adaway.
