    Hi all
I was thinking of looking for some labouring work on a construction site for the summer with a builder but was just wondering what the job entails, what sort of tasks would you be asked to do etc. Would I need any skills and would I be able for it since I have no previous experience on a site.
    All feedback appreciated.

You will need to get a safe pass first.

in general your job is to tidy up and to get stuff ready for the tradesman/woman

    you can be lucky

    painter sanding and filling
block layer mixing cement and stacking blocks
roofer bringing up tiles or slates
tiler hacking tiles off floors and walls and lumping tiles up the stairs
plumber/ spark holes in walls, chasing walls/ floors, fitting into small spaces to pull wires/pipes and generally making a mess
chippy moving timber around and holding stuff . loading offcuts into the van
plasterer/ skimmer mixing cement, plaster, skim and cleaning out loads of half set buckets

In short, lifting and carrying, and long hours. It is an unpleasant job and you will be the bottom of the ladder. The agencies are flat out looking for people right now.

I did it last summer and loved. I worked 7:30 to 15:30 for €80 including a paid lunch. I was collected from home and dropped home.
