B7 Audi A4 3.0 TDI Quattro

    Hi,

    Test drove one of these this evening - 2006 A4, 3.0 TDI,S Line, Tiptronic, Quattro (235bhp).

    Really liked it, although I will probably do another test drive and have it checked out by a mechanic. Do these give any serious problems or is there anything in particular to watch out for. The car is low mileage for the year and will probably set me back between 6 and 6.5k.

    Going to sleep on it for a couple of days to make sure I'm comfortable with the tax/ins etc., but if anyone has any experience or knowledge of these, I would love to hear it.

    Gearboxes can give trouble at higher milage, apart from that they are a solid car.

    Thanks for the response. Looks like insurance will be fine, and I think I'm OK with the 1500 tax. Very much leaning towards it at the moment as I'm not coming across any common problems online other than some niggles with the gearbox.
