Anybody one here have experience riding a penny/cruiser skateboard in Dublin airport. I'd like to use it to get around faster and I'll be using it in the country I'm going to so can it come as carry one if its attached to my bag? Thanks in advance for any help!

Carry on: AFAIK they aren't prohibited. Check with the airline.

Using it in the airport: doubtful it would be allowed for health, safety and insurance reasons

Thanks for the reply, I might try it in the airport and give it a shot, if they asks me to get off so be it.

Ah come on, going through a crowded airport on a skateboard? Maybe on a cartoon programme or thriller film!

I've never had any trouble using my Penny in Dublin airport obviously don't use it where it's too busy. If someone asks you to get off it you just get off it and leave it at that.

Thank you very much, someone with experience, I'll chance it and I've no problem getting off if someone asks, thanks again!

Dublin is perfect for a penny with the long walks to the gates it really speeds everything up.

It would be against the airport by laws in my view.. likely under 4.1.7 just for a start..

Going on how busy and congested the airport is these days with the rapid growth in passenger numbers I really don't see any way you could use the skateboard comfortably without there being obvious potential at least for injury to somone else. There are just too many people around including kids milling about and it is too congested overall. Trust me I work there on a daily basis...

Anyone travelling around on a skateboard in that environment is a bit of a dick in my opinion... keep it in your backpack until you get to your destination would be my advice... if you are seen you will be told to get off but don't be that inconsiderate of others to the point of having to wait to be told...

In Heathrow a few weeks ago I saw someone riding a scooter that folded out of his carry on case - seemed like a great idea!

Seems like a nifty gadget and probably more safe and controllable in an airport environment than a skateboard if used properly... the price though ! :o

I was very envious as I lugged my Cabinmax back pack around, but yes, the price!

Absolutely not allowed. Not only will you be told to get off it, it can be taken from you!!

I doubt that would happen to be fair.

I think OP might be watching a few to many Casey Neistat videos though.

If the ops actions are deemed to be a hazard to other passengers the Airport Police/Security have the right to remove it from their possession or refuse them travel.

Don't be so melodramatic. In all likely hood they will tell him to get off of it.
