    HI

I am with three and use my phone pretty infrequently. I only top up my phone every 2 to 3 months so don't really want to sign up to any of their plans however lately I have noticed when I do use the phone it is quite expensive. 15c a text and cant find the call rate but the money seems to go pretty fast.

Is there any providers who offer a better deal than this? don't want to commit to topping up every month as I can go a long time without using the phone

Meteor have a €5 per month (30 days) plan that gives you free calls to Meteor phones, 30MB data and you still have your €5 to spend on calls to other networks. If you mainly text, all Meteor customers get 400 free any-network texts per month including 100 free international. The only catch is that you have to use the MyMeteor app to get the free texts.

The 5-euro top-up is every 15 days, the website says, and all-network texts don't kick in until the 20-euro top-up level. Otherwise good information, thanks!

    Thanks Guys.
I don't have a smart phone so don't really want to be paying for data I don't need.
Also I don't want to commit to topping up on a monthly basis as I use the phone irregularly. For example I have topped up three times since May 27th (€10 each time) but before that hadn't topped up since January.

I am currently paying 35c per minute for calls so looking for something better than that.

I'd still consider lyca, their national rates seems to be better than the rest too.

Landlines for 9c per minute and mobiles 29c per minute.
