    Thanks Groji,

Must take a look at seats in the boot of Alhambra to see size.

Still interested in hearing people's views on Espace or Previa

    Thanks,

    T.

I had an Espace.... Never ever ever again.
Granted it was a 2005, I bought it in 2012. Obviously I didn't know much about the history of it, but after about a year of having it it started spending longer in the garage being fixed than it did on the road. Everything that could possibly be replaced was replaced.. clutch cylinder, handbrake, alternator caused awful problems, battery, turbo, few other bits that I can't remember now... And after replacing everything possible, something else would go! I often see one similar to mine stopped on the side of the road, obviously waiting for someone to come rescue it!

For size it was absolutely brilliant. Reliability, not so much. Ok it was a 10 year old car by the end, but it cost me an absolute fortune.

    Thanks Chips.

That's what I suspected re reliability but nothing better that hearing it from someone who has had one. I would only be looking at similar age, 2005-2008, so would expect same issues. Fantastic configuration & would suit our needs at the moment. Not hard to see why they are so cheap second hand & anyone that is expensive seems never to sell. Been keeping an eye on a niceely specced black Espace for sale around Naas road area & its been up for sale for months. Looks good but not shifting.

    Thanks,

    T.

    What about a Dodge Journey

    http://www.autotrader.ie/browse-used-cars/dodge/journey/used-2009-dodge-journey-suv-2008-armagh-fpa-174014357099875700

Actually a very good and cool car just the the dash is old in style.

A Ford Galaxy is another you could look at.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

    Thanks for the replies.

AMKC - only saw a Dodge Journey once in the flesh & quite liked it. Totally forgotten about it.

Bazzy - think you've just put another nail if the Espace coffin. Best give it a skip. Never heard of the Toyota Alphard. Did a Google. Uber rare this side of the world.

    Thanks,

    T.
