I see my old favourite Coto is going from class 5 race to listed company in the 4:10 at Ayr tomorrow :pac: Should be a bridge (or two) too far for this, but might be tempted to try a euro each way if I can get 50/1.

I see Paddy Power have went six places in the cavalry charge that is the Wokingham tomorrow. I have went with my other favourite Dinkum Diamond at 33/1 - the extra two places will be a god-send for this hardened bruiser. The story remains the same with this one, it always gives 100%, especially for these big occasions. Would love to see it get its neck in-front just this one time for the connections. Only negative for me is that Henry's horses just have not been at the races this year.

Best bet of the day for me though has to be Gold-Fun in the big race at Ascot. I never thought I'd see the day when this supremely talented gelding would set foot out of Hong Kong, but am glad they've picked tomorrow. This superstar of Sha-tin has made more prize money in its career than all others combined. Top rated and with decent recent form, there's nothing to suggest in breeding that the unfamiliar softer ground should be a problem. 8/1 a steal - especially e/w as I can't see it out of the places.

For those looking to buy money, I don't see how Ex Patriot can be beaten tomrrow in the 6:10 at a price of 6/4. Last time, it came third to Lustrous Light, a horse which Ger Lyons also trainer and which looks to be going onto better things, especially given the fact he thought it was good enough to send to Ascot today (even if it was poor). In a pretty poor maiden, you'd be inclined to think that Ex Patriot does the business.

Since no one else has been bothered, also decided to have a bet on Fairy Foxglove in the 3:25 at Downroyal. This race looks pretty weak to me, so not surprised to see a horse like Fairy Foxglove targeting it. Some early money means best price is 4/1, I suspect it will go off a lot shorter than that given its betting history. Happy to take a chance on this, will be interesting to see how it takes to the northern turf.

Well, the price was right but he couldn't do the business for you - 2nd @ 8/11. Fairy Foxglove 2nd as well so good tipping but no cigar. Still, keep backing 8/11 shots at 6/4 and you'll do OK!
