Comfortable 4wd pickup?

Is there such a thing? My missus complains about our jeep pickup, says it hurts her back, and I gotta admit it is juddery on our not so great roads.
I have a Ford Ranger XLT, '03, I love it myself but you do feel the bumps, not even that, just uneven roads with lots of patches make it rattle a fair bit.
Now I know all about them driving better with a bit of weight in the back, couple of bags of coal, a few blocks, whatever, it helps a bit, but still..
Funny thing is, it can be bumpy and juddery, then I might stop at the shop for a bit, park it up, and when I set off again it feels fine, (occasionally, doesn't last), much better, rolls smoother, less bumpy. I started to wonder if maybe the handbrake was sticking, or maybe another problem? It was tested not long ago, has new front shocks and new discs.
I wouldn't mind but I bought this jeep coz people were saying it was the most comfortable pickup (and pretty good on the juice). Thoughts?

I don't think any of the pick up line are comfortable. Any I've been in anyway and they have a different seating position to a regular 4x4/Suv. Lever springs don't help the situation either

Maybe check suspension parts for wear and tear. It is 13 years old at this stage.

I've driven a fair few pick ups. I've found the Hilux are ok, the new Rangers/Mazda BT 50's (same vehicle) are pretty nice but a bit stiff. The Isuzu's are ok too.

My current work ute/pickup is a 2011 Nissan Navara. I've had it about a week and it's by far the most comfortable pickup I've had to drive. Apart from being known for having lots of mechanical issues and showing signs of them, its pretty comfortable.

Kay 9 has hit the nail on the head, leaf sprung suspension is a dog. Seating in crew cabs are a dog also. Who ever you got advice from at the time would want to stop spouting trash.
It's a 2.5 under powered imo, why don't you get a crew cab cruiser, trooper or Pajero 3.2 if it's back seats you need?
The Pajero would be a serious option, independent suspension, climbs the walls in power and handling, bulletproof.
