    2-3 weeks usually.

70 in a 60 might be ok when you take in to account errors in speedo and 10% leeway.

Thanks lads yeah was thinking two or three weeks as if its passes the 21 threshold then you can avoid paying it as I think there's a time limit speed safety vans have

I hear the white marked vans go safe or something are even worse when it comes to speed and the fines are issued much quicker. Its grand to know these things as I pass them everyday and I see people absolutely eating road not knowing what's around the corner

Its more like 120 days they have to send out a ticket.
    But it's usually within 3weeks

    Same laws apply.

Summons must be applied for within 6 months.
You have a total of 56days to pay the fine.

So... the fine can be sent out 56 days shy of 6 months.

That's approx 120 days (allowing a few days for poatage etc)

I heard its 21 days and that only applys if you were caught by a speed gun and not by a speed van

Maybe you're thinking of the UK, where a NIP ( notice of intent to prosecute)
Must be issued within circa 21 or 28 days.

Wales have a safety camera operation that also goes by the name Gosafe, so maybe that's where your info is coming from.

But in this country its up to 6 months to issue a summons.,
So the fine can be sent out up to 56 days prior to that 6 month deadline.

They do my head in, i usually think I'm going faster than I really am when I see a camera, speedos on cars are set higher than actual speed, camera vans have a tolerance. There was a week where I was convinced I was going to get three tickets and got none. I'm a fairly conservative driver, pretty much know where the vans are now but still hate that bit of waiting to see if I actually did speed. Worst one is as you approach the Red Cow Hotel, three lane traffic, 30kph, if you're not watching the signs you'd swear you were in an 80 or 60 zone. Bunclody is another place to stick right to the limit, sneaky there.

So when I thought I got 113mph out of my Almera it was more like 100? :(
