    Three Cracking watches on TZ

    Longines Legend Diver

Oris Big crown pilot GMT- model 7710

Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chrono Calibre 16 CAF2112

Was contemplating a couple instead of buying one biggie...

    What would you recommend ?

My choice, if I had the cash would be the Longines legend diver at £865, but UK only. Might be able to get it in through parcel motel though.

Those Aquaracer chronos are excellent. Ive had a couple and I really liked them. I can't understand why they go so cheaply on tz-uk, at £850 odd they're a real bargain, and about half what a Seamaster or Superocean chrono would cost you.

The Longines Legend on the other hand was very disappointing for me. I loved the pics when it launched, and picked one up a few months later. Felt cheap, and the strap is like something you'd find on an Argos cheapie. Plenty of people like them, but I've often seen them flipped by buyers within a few days.

The legend looks great but have this feeling like you said that in the flesh I may regret getting it

The LLD also wear much larger than you may expect(very long in the lug to lug)

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Ya, have noticed lots of heritage conquests on the market too, I reckon ppl sell them because of the 35mm size. I've even seen a few limited edition ones (no date) sell as well, but if they're priced any way right they get snapped up fairly quickly. I reckon the hodinkee factor affects people too, they see a rave review, buy it, 6 months later it's for sale.
