Open-minded/non-conservative churches in Dublin?

Can someone recommend any that would possibly fit such a description? Churches not so much rooted in dogma, be it Catholic or evangelical, but open to different perspectives on the big biblical issues?

    Good morning!

Your question depends on where abouts you are in Dublin.

I'm confused about what you mean about dogma. Every church even liberal ones have dogma. It's also worth pointing out that truth isn't a matter of preference.

Having pointed all of that out I suspect that something like Holy Trinity Rathmines might be what you're after. If you don't live near Rathmines you're probably looking at something mainline Anglican.

I think the real meat is to be found at conservative evangelical churches (like Grosvenor Road Baptist in Rathmines, Immanuel Church Dublin on the quays or City Church Dublin near the Four Courts) which isn't what you're asking for :)

Much thanks in the Lord Jesus Christ,

Thanks, looking at the website, Trinity looks a very interesting church that is worth checking out.

I have indeed been exposed to Immanuel and City Church as well, but yes, not really what I'm looking for.

You could make up own. Take the bits of the scripture and christian history that serves your particular purpose/goal, dump/ignore/interpret those you don't, then gather a group and tell them that other Christians have the wrong version, and you've a better one, and off you go.

    MOD NOTE

I'm not sure if you're be serious or glib, but the OP asked for suggestions of churches they could possibly join.

So maybe try offering some suggestions that might be helpful to the OP.

    Thanks for your attention.

If you can read this, you're too close!

Don't see the problem really, just another option the OP might not have thought of. It's a common viable option if you can find one on menu or would prefer to be a leader of your own version, rather than a follower of someone else's version. I'm sure his church would be as good as many. What would be wrong with it ?

The Unitarian Church on St. Stephens Green http://www.dublinunitarianchurch.org/

and any meeting house of the Society of Friends (Quakers) https://quakers-in-ireland.ie/ might be of interest to you.

Those look interesting too, though I think both are rather fringe denominations/groups.

Any other suggestions? I'll be making visits.

You could do worse than Trinity at the town end of Gardener St. It's a mix of folk/views rather than birds of a particular feather, reasonably large, in a nice building, friendly, etc.

It's also worth pointing out that truth isn't a matter of preference.

I would have thought it was. At least, your best attempt to apprehend it is a matter of preferred means.
