Heating not working

We live in a bungalow and I tried to start the rooms heating today but it doesn't seem to be working. We started the "Boost" for heating but no luck & water is getting warm perfectly.

I remember I used to live in an apartment before and heating would be off in the summers. Is it same with bungalows? I thought we could control it ourself given its detached house.

Check the heating thermostat it could simply be turned down

I changed the round knob to middle as unsure which is on or off. But still heating is not turning on.
    Any other tip?

That sounds like you just turned the boiler off , turn that knob back to where it was , and check the room thermostat .

Tried it now but no luck. :(

The knob I was talking about was room thermostat. I didn't change anything on Time Guard unit system.

If you are getting hot water without any issues, it is quite possible that you have a problem with a zone valve, but it may be a problem with the clock or the room thermostat.
Presume you have checked all the radiator valves to ensure that they are all in the on position (fully anticlockwise).

    Thanks for the advice.
Yes I ensured all rooms are in fully anti clock position but no joy. So I turned off all of them and then turned on but still no joy.
Water heating is working perfect as usual.

Any other idea how to solve this issue?

Sounds like a zone valve actuator has failed , time for a plumber

Any other thing to be checked before I ring the landlord?

If you are renting its not really your responsibility to be repairing things like the central heating.
Phone your landlord and ask him to have it repaired, after all, that's what you are paying him / her for.

    Update:
After msging landlord yesterday, I decided to give it a go this merging and heating is working now like before :D

Partner was guessing that given there is gas meter in front garden and landlord may have opened some valve the and that's why heating is working now. Could it be true? What was wrong?
