    Hi all,

Could spend my whole day searching the net for the best hotel but instead I am looking for your advice.
Going to Lanzarote late September- 7 nights- like a nice pool and clean modern self catering. Any suggestions??
Presently looking at Gloria Izaro resort..

We are late 30's so we are looking forward to a nice place to chill out...

I should get a bloody share in this place, I've recommended it so much!

    www.costasal.com

Great place, €5 taxi ride from main resort of Puerto Del Carmen, but plenty within an easy walk to keep you fed and watered... Perfect spot to chill.

We stayed here http://www.farioneshotels.com/ the last time we went. My brother has stayed in the apartments, this is the hotel. You couldn't get closer to things. Lovely place.

+1 as well as the main Fariones hotel (full board only) and the apartments (self catering), they also have a few of what they call a 'bungalow', we'd call it a self-catering chalet. There was about 6 or 8 of them on the other side of the hotel from the apartment block, all of them are at ground level. The people staying in the bungalows have access to all the hotel facilities - pool, private beach, lots of loungers etc. You get two bedrooms with twin beds in each, a small kitchen, couch and TV and a small deck area with loungers but there's no divider between your deck and the one belonging to the people next door, we were lucky to have very quiet neighbours!

The price we paid was what it said in the original booking so no hidden extras.
