My lap top can locate my phone, but my phone can't/won't accept files.
I have Bluetooth and air drop on.
Any ideas of what I'm not doing/doing wrong?

Haven't had an apple in years. But is your laptop an apple? If not wasn't there a thing before that apples won't take Bluetooth transfer from a non apple machine?

Laptop is an Apple Mac. It's old though.

The laptop has no problem locating my phone, but the phone can't pick up anything.

Might it be a network setting?

swipe up to pull up settings and try setting airdrop to everyone

Thanks. I have tried that, but my laptop doesn't seem to have airdrop!

I can email things to myself but'd itd be a lot handier just to Bluetooth.

AirDrop doesn't work from old Macs to iOS. Maybe use something like Dropbox or iCloud Drive?
