hi so myself and the sister we're both desperately looking to buy a golf 1.4 and get away from staying inside all summer. the only thing is i really dont understand being insured under the parents name etc?
like can my mother be insured in another car ( the golf ) to bring the insurance down and me and the sister then get insured on it to make it cheaper, or is it illegal?
by the way we're looking to get the lessons done and our parents working constantly so we cant use their cars at all.
    thanks

Get used to hearing about the terms "fronting", "across the board" and seeing eyewatering quotes well into the 4 figures accompanied by a "we're doing you a favour by quoting you at all" attitude from the rep. Get used to the beal bocht from the insurance industry because a few chancers threw in fraudulent whiplash claims last year and the general vibe of this is the way things are and nothing's going to be done about it
