Hi guys, just wondering if any body uses these around the country. Im not living in the country at the moment, but doing some research for my boss who is looking to open one, but outside of Ireland. I have called a few of the ones that are online but they wont really tell me much, so I was just wondering if there is many actually around the country or just in Dublin and Galway, and are they all free to use and you just tip as you want or is there fees.

    cheers

Would imagine there would have to be fees, if only to cover the insurance anyway.

And anyone opening a business in transporting customers would certainly want to have insurance.

Just use a Sulky no need for insurance or tax or anything.

They arent free but usually around 6 euro or so, depending on the distance of course. Galway City Council were drawing up plans to ban them. In no small part due to lobbying from the Taxi industry.

I think they did. Too right in my view, bloody things were a nightmare to encounter on a night.

After Hours is not a research tool I'm afraid. I would suggest talking to local councils.
