I just changed jobs about 6 weeks ago, p45 gone into revenue all fine.
When I log onto paye anytime and go into 2016, there is a section where I can allocate tax credits and another where I can allocate USC rate bands.
The allocation is between the two employers.
I have never seen this before or even heard of it.
Can someone explain what its for, and possible benefits etc.

    Thanks

It's used to transfer credits/rate bands between multiple active employments.

If the last job has ceased the credits and USC bands should all be under your new employment. You can split them between Employments if you had two or more live Employments at the one time depending on what income
    you had from each.
