    Hi,

I am self-employed, but my business will be in data-collection mode for the next 6-12 months. I need to fill that time with a tech/IT temp job. My background is Engineering, and while much of my skillset is focused and non-marketable, I do have some skills which may be of interest to an employer, such as Project management and Excel proficiency.

any advice is welcome, PM if needed,

    thanks
    M

Don't mention that you only want a temp job, and do have longer term plans. Just look for a job, and when you no longer need it, resign.
