    hello folks,

I will be laying 8.3mm laminate and am wondering if 2 or 3 mm foam underlay is better or does it make any difference? I have both. Some floor is timber and some concrete screed.

    Cheers.

2mm came with the laminate but I have a bit of 3mm. All floors are very level.

    Tks for your response.

    What thickness is the laminate
A good quality 10mm + click laminate a 3 mm would be grand
A thin 6 mm cheap laminate I'd use 2 mm there'd be too much give in the floor for a 3 mm foam it might come apart
