Shoe size

I bought a pair of size 13 running shoes, with some brands a 12 is a good fit but with these the 12 was tight. I'm wondering if I'm made the wrong decision going with the 13's as when they gradually change to my foot there could be too much room. Is it better to go with the tighter shoe and let it adapt to your foot or go for a shoe with some more space?

I always go bigger. Did you get in a running shop? They'll be able to help and if not the right fit they should allow you to change them.

Not a running shop, I went back and they said that they'll only loosen on the sides and not at the toe. I had another pair of 13's in a different brand and after six months they were pretty loose. I might try using insoles if that happens again. I think I'm in between sizes and it's hard to get 12.5 shoes.

I tend to go by EU sizes as I find theres a bigger difference in brands between UK sizes

I got insoles and the shop doesn't have any 12's left in the show I want, I'll stick with them and use them as spares. I'm going to stick to 12's from now on as I don;t like having too much room in the shoe.
