    Hi

Anyone have any opinion on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class C SERIES, from 2008 onwards, automatic transmission, petrol, c180.

    Reliable? Killer on juice ?

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Reliable? Yes. Mercedes-Benz thankfully had their act together again from about '06. Once more producing high quality, excellent and reliable cars

Killer on juice? Well, it's a heavy enough car. With a petrol engine. And an automatic gearbox. And a supercharger, continuously force-feeding extra petrol into the cylinders. So no, it's not frugal :D

What are you comparing it to though?

Had one a while ago and found it very underpowered not helped by the slush box, remember getting around 27mpg too

Not especially, the one before that was a 2ltr straight six Z3 which was more smooth than power, I just expected more from the merc with the supercharger but found it was gutless low down, would have been better with manual box as the auto was always hunting which gear to be in, found myself stamping the kick down a lot to get going
