Here we go again!Got another alert through fb saying a great ejection on the sun means there's a "good chance" (yeah right) that the NL will be visible tonight ALL around Ireland. This never seems to pan out does it?!
However it so happens that we're headed for deepest darkest Kerry tonight (well, Ballybunion!) so seeing as we'll be away from Dublin I was gonna try a little stargazing tonight anyway.Anywhere even quieter than Ballyb within 30 minutes drive or so that anybody can recommend as a good spot?I was thinking somewhere like Banna Strand?Havent been there in years so maybe its more built up but I remember it as being sorta remote.
    Cheers for any tips.

The Kerry Dark Sky reserve is a bit more than 30 mins from Ballyb but definitely worth checking out at some stage -

I'm in a great spot here, clear skies, no light pollution but not sure if anything will be visible due to the fact that the northern horizon doesn't get completely dark this time of year. Oh well, I'll just have to sit up and see.
