Android Minix affecting broadband router

My Virgin Media router (Technicolour TC7200) is resetting itself periodically & as a result broadband drops for ~5 mins at a time.

I got a new VM router installed & VM say signal going in is tested & fine; one of the Irish VM tech support guys who seemed knowledgeable told me that android boxes need to be configured a particular way so as not to impact the router performance.

Any experience of this, or any changes required to Minix/android box setups in this regard ?

Minix X8-H Plus is connected via ethernet to Devolo powerline adapter

    Help appreciated.

I've a Minix 8h and a Techicolour router and no issues. I didn't do any special configuration either. My box is plugged straight into my router though so that's one difference from your setup. I do have homeplugs in my house too though, just don't use them for the Minix.
I've gotten various boxes for friends (all different brands) and never did anything special for their networks.

The first thing you should do is plug out the minix and see if your router drops the connection again. If it does, get back on to Virgin and tell them you've ruled out the minix.
If it doesn't then at least you know it is the android box.
    Does this issue happen frequently?
