Blackbird Fledgling - Urgent!!

A Blackbird fledgling has fallen out of a nest in the ivy on the back of my house. It appears to be able to rise only about 18" to 2ft under it's own steam, while the nest is at about 20ft. The thick ivy starts at about 12ft.

Should I catch the fledgling and
    a) put it in the ivy
    b) Put it in the nest

or simply leave it where it is?

    Advice asap please.

.....in the meantime, our cat is under house arrest!

I'd try and get it back into the nest ASAP. If it can't fly it won't last long if you don't.

Put it in the ivy, as high as you can safely do, and leave it. If it can flutter up a couple of feet, it will be fine.

Fledgling caught, after 'escaping' twice, and placed in the ivy. The first time, the damn thing made a bolt for 'safety' ...back down around the front of the house and under one of the cars.

I caught it by throwing a light towel over it. Second time in the ivy, it climbed in, and disappeared from view.

Meantime....blackbirds are both going around the garden like headless chickens. Not clear if they've found the errant fledgling.

Anyway, done all I can. Thanks for advice Srameen & Half-cocked.
