Got a text to say Diesel have 20% off everything in store and online at www.diesel.ie until Mon June 6th. They do these deals randomly. New website it appears so I got a few bits and free delivery over €50. Usually by courier if I recall.

    Decent selection of shorts.

    Hope that helps :)

Just be aware there's Diesel in Ireland and there's Diesel worldwide, both are different companies...

If you threw these in the washing machine, would Revenue come after you for laundering diesel?

So many people think the Irish Diesel stuff is the real deal - the Irish factory in Santry registered the name a few years before the "real" Diesel could, and hence make a fortune selling cheap clobber to the small Irish clothes shops!

My friends Mum worked there for years....

I always wondered why such a big global brand had such cheap looking stores. That explains it!

It's incredible how much they have done to aid this confusion. For the website they've even gone and hired models that look miserable, just like the ones on the website of the international brand.
(It may be just an attempt at "Blue Steel", but they all look very unhappy to me.)

I have to laugh at this, there is a brand out there I seen before called "Gasoline", I wonder if I could patent "Petrol" and sell jeans etc under the Petrol name haha.

I saw a pair of Petrol jeans in TK Maxx yesterday. The tag on the waistband on the back was almost identical to authentic Diesel jeans too

I wonder if I patented TVO clothing, could I market them to hipsters as vintage Diesel products (at some kind of crazy mark-up price of course) :D

[edit] Curses... foiled!! Some nicotine addicts have beaten me to it.

So how can you tell the difference? Is the Diesel shop in Blanch the Irish or worldwide stock?

The premium Italian brand don't have stores in Ireland, except in Kildare Village. They're sold in Brown Thoms, Arnotts etc. The cheap Irish company have stores all over the place and the quality is crap IMO. Quick way to tell the difference in the jeans is to look at the front pocket on the right, the Italian brand has a white sash with 'Diesel Industry'

Sorry, haha! I did put the tag for Clothing on it before posting but it appears the mobile site doesn't have this functionality working!

I've had no issues with this particular brand compared to the 'premium' brand and there styles are very different anyway. A few quid off if you're into the style :)
