Means test for Jobseekers claim with IQA

Okay, bear with me here... If John applies for Jobseekers allowance along with the Increase for a Qualified Adult for his unemployed wife, are their joint bank savings assessed in full against just John or half of them against John and half against his wife for the means test? The info out there seems ambiguous, so would really like to see a response from someone who's actually claiming or has previously claimed in this way... Thanks in advance!

John is the claimant so the savings will be assessed in full. If they both had their own claims then half would be assessed against each claim which would work out the same.
