Have an eflow tag and everytime it gets down to 12 quid it automatically tops up by E30.

Can you actually use this e12 or is it effectivley a deposit?

think it's used to cover them in case you use tolls and disappear.

    So basically it's a deposit.

It can be as low as €6 before it requests a top up, and I think €10+ minimum top up. But you're better off leaving the top up a little higher at least.

You could have a post pay account and not pay any deposit .

It's not a deposit and you can use it. If for some reason your direct debit failed or was canceled you would use up this amount plus some banking transaction aren't 24/7 but actually business normal hours.

I set it up mine for 50 euro top ups when the balance gets low.

Its the cheapest most hassle free way to keep your account in balance without fees
