Tax credits after maternity leave

    Im back at work now for 6 weeks. I am on a week 1 basis. Being taxed more. Can anyone advise how long after returning to work from ml that your paying more tax. So I returned the end of April. Will it be until tax year is up

    Its best to get your tax affairs sorted out now.

    Apply for a P21 balancing statement for 2015

    Then inform the tax office of the amount you have received from ML in 2016 and your expected gross pay from employment in 2016.

    This should help you to move from week1 basis
