Not without a hard drive caddy, you would need to purchase something like this...

    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/USB3-0-2-5-SATA-External-Hard-Drive-Enclosure-Drive-Caddy-Case-/262094628632?hash=item3d060ea718:g:M-kAAOSwu-BWOYGo

Would make far more sense for you to purchase an external hard drive like the WD Passport drive instead as going the hard drive caddy will be limited by USB port speed.

You'll need an enclosure but yes, no prob. Seriously though, if you've a non SSD in your laptop, it'd be a sin of monumental proportions if you did not reverse the internal/external proposal. I got 2 a while back, one I stuck into an i3 Lenovo. Boots now from dead in very quick time. The other went into my old dell studio 1735 (I refuse to let it die as its a cracking lesktop; never moves from its place in the gaf and I love the older studio build quality); the difference is just startling.

You're not helping me avoid buying yet another bargain alert...

I honestly don't need another SSD. I've got a 128gb in my laptop, 2 x240 gb in my gaming rig and a 512 gb in my server.

And yet that one is now sitting in my Amazon basket taunting me. Damn you Bargain Alerts!!!

I didnt bite on this or the last one. But going back over the past few weeks there seems to be constant Sandisk SSD deals on Amazon - so hold tight id say there will be more to come. Pricing on them seems to be falling in general.

I pulled the trigger on an ADATA Premier 240GB at 62 euro from Amazon.
Not the same deal, but still a good price.
